Langza Village Kitchen Homestay
Langza village, Spiti Valley, Himachal Pradesh · up to 2 guests · 1 bedroom
Dolma and Tenzin keep three simple whitewashed rooms in their mud-brick home under Langza's giant Buddha statue. This is a village kitchen homestay: guests knead, roll and steam momos and tingmo alongside the family, drink endless butter tea, and eat around the bukhari stove. Nights at 4,400 metres are staggering — the Milky Way over Chau Chau Kang Nilda peak needs no telescope. Fossils, snow leopard tales and absolute silence included.

Making tingmo with Dolma while snow fell outside in June — I'll be telling this story for years.

Basic rooms, monumental experience. Acclimatise in Kaza first, then come here and let the silence work.
